Click Here for our Membership Appliation. You're invited to join one of Oklahoma's oldest and most respected historical organizations, The Oklahoma 1889ER Society. We celebrate the Land Run of 1889 because our ancestors were therw.
We have two types of memberships. Society Descendant Members and Society Booster Members. |
Society Descendant Members are required to have ancestors who participated in the 1889 Oklahoma Land Run or settled in the Land Run Area prior to December 31, 1889.
Society Booster Members do not have any land run requirements - We only require a good Oklahoma Pioneering Spirit.
Upon acceptance of your application, you will receive a Custom Membership Certificate with the official Society Seal. Your name will be added to the Society Membership Roll and each April during our Land Run Celebration Banquet, you and your guests can meet and greet other pioneer families from all over the United States. The 1889ER Society usually holds regular monthly meetings the 2nd Saturday of each month at 2 p.m., Septenmber through May.
As our state song says... "We know we belong to the Land, and the Land we belong to is Grand..."
Founded in 1905, The 1889ER Society has a strong worldwide membership. Members dedicate part of their lives to historic preservation and renew each day a Pioneering Spirit through their actions and deeds.
The 1889er Society of spirited people are "Pioneering Yesterday and Today...." We look forward to your membership and participation!
