The 1889ers Display at the airport will be dismantled, announced June McCuiston, curator of the display. She received a call Friday, 8 October 2005, from Karen Carney of Will Rogers World Airport saying that airport renovation will cause our display to be removed soon.

The 1889ERS Society has had the two panel display in the terminal area for more then 20 years. Negotiations are pending to see if we can establish a smaller, video-based display to maintain the continued presence of the Society at the airport.

Meanwhile, all artifacts must be removed from the existing display. Please contact June if you believe that you or your family have contrinuted items for use in the display. (We have no place to put them!)
