Tract Books Index Complete - Find your Ancestor's Land ! |

Oklahoma Genealogical Society recently completed the Indexing of the Oklahoma Land Tract Books and they are on the floor at the Oklahoma History Research Center. A project that took many years to complete, it has a full name index to the 72 existing Land Tract Books. Designated an official Oklahoma Centennial Project, the books are proving to be a great boon to those searching early Oklahomans.
What this means is that you can look up your ancestor's name and get the legal description of the homestead claim.
